ALERT – Concerning 3rd Grenfell Anniversary

⛔️ Please be aware that there are social media posts from groups who state they are Justice FOR Grenfell.

These are NOT from the J4G campaign. Their posts are causing extreme distress to the Grenfell bereaved, survivors and our community. Especially leading up to the third anniversary on the 14th June 2020.

Our posts will always use our logo and the number “4” in our official communication.

💚 Forever in our hearts 💚

Looking after yourself during the Grenfell Anniversary

At this time we are fast approaching the 3rd Year Anniversary of the Grenfell Tower Fire on the 14th June 2020.

We are aware that during the COVID-19 crisis; as a community we are not able to come together in remembrance and unity as before, and many of us will be finding this time even more difficult in isolation.

Below you will find the NHS Wellbeing and Mental Health link for support over the Anniversary. It is also available in several languages. Please take care of yourself and eachother. We want to wish everyone safe and well as we stand with you all.

J4G Statement on the Murder of George Floyd

Justice 4 Grenfell activists would like to send solidarity to the communities of Minneapolis, who are protesting after the assassination of George Floyd by a police officer on Monday, with two other police officers assisting and one officer standing by and doing nothing.

They are protesting because they are grieving, angry and traumatised from consistent state violence inflicted on black people by the police.  They are standing up for their brothers and sisters across America. We see our struggle of resistance as a shared struggle. Police violence against BAME people and against working class communities exists in the UK, too. From Minneapolis to London, from Orgreave to Southall, from Brixton to Notting Hill,, working class people, black and white must stand together to overturn a system which has persecution and inequality as the heart of its establishment.

Rest in Peace and Power George Floyd.

Eid Mubarak

To all Muslim members of our community, we wish you all Eid Mubarak after the fasting of the holy month of Ramadan.

Please enjoy the festivities and stay safe and well.
